The main characters in Who Has Seen The Wind? are Brian, Ben, Brian's mother and father, Miss Anachroby, Brian's uncle, and his hired hand. Miss McDonald, Ben's father, the judge, the shoemaker and the crazy man are supporting characters. Brian is the Protagonist and Miss Anachroby is the Antagonist.
The setting in Who Has Seen The Wind? is in the year 1938, at the time of the depression also called the dirty thirties. Stock markets were down and as a result many jobs were lost. Farming was horrible and some people could not afford to pay their taxes. Two examples of that from the movie are Brian's Uncle and the Chinese family.
One of the many conflicts in the story is between the Principal and Miss Anachroby. Miss Anachroby wants to put Ben in a special school but the principal sees no need. Another would be between Ben's father, Miss Anachroby and the reverend. Ben has two conflicts. The first is with him and school. The second is with him and Miss MacDonald. They just don't mesh. Another conflict is between The Principal and Miss Thompson. He wants her but she already has a boyfriend.
There are a few complications in the story. One is Brian trying to figure life and death out. He doesn't fully understand why the kittens or the gopher had to die. Or his Father. Another is Ben. He doesn't always show up at school and he is late many times when he does. One more complication is Ben's Father keeping the old owl in a cage when it should be free to fly.
The beginning climax of the story is when the wind storm strikes up and also when Brian is in the field crying. The real climax is at the school board meeting, when Miss Anachroby is trying to get them to put Ben in a special school. She threatens to fire the principal if he does not agree. Miss Thompson Stands up to her as does the Principal. Both of them end up resigning. Miss Anachroby then half resigns and half gets fired.
The resolution is when all the problems are solved. Brian has finally figured life out, Ben is let go from school and Ben's father allows Ben and Brian to set the old owl free.
The conclusion is when Brian walks over the hill and the movie is ended.
